Peaceful Streets Project (2013)

Description
Logo created for a non-profit, citizen action group.

Peaceful Streets Project is dedicated to keeping police accountable to the citizens for their illegal and immoral actions. With the ever increasing amount of police abuse charges, heightened awareness in the public eye was unavoidable.

It was imperative to bring back an aura of the 1970's peace movements, coupled with an organic and somewhat hand-made feel—that being the idea of the identity painted onto a surface, such as a road, wall, etc...

Accompanying it are sub logos. Since PSP has chapters in multiple cities and an ever-growing list of chapters awaiting, it was imperative to create a distinct look and feel for each chapter logo.

Also included is a name-plate style variation of the Peaceful Streets Project logo, for media which needs a more simple approach.
